The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a membership organization that serves as the voice for issues and actions affecting business and industry.
We work to preserve and enhance the free and competitive enterprise system, promoting growth and development and making Shelby County a better place to live, work, worship, learn and conduct business.

Strategic Focus: The board, volunteers, and staff of the Chamber are focused on succeeding in the future as well as managing today. The Chamber staff provides support to the board and its committees and helps implement the strategic plan. Leadership and staff are strategic partners in anticipating and meeting the most important needs of the Chamber’s members.
Member Communication/Information: The Chamber serves as an important information clearinghouse, and is the center of communication for its core customers. It conducts research and identifies changing member needs as well as important emerging technical, economic, social, political and environmental trends. It provides relevant and useful information to its members in a timely manner using the most effective technologies and methods available. It also provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and the advocacy of relevant issues.
Tourism: The Chamber promotes tourism through its channels of communication, and assists area tourism groups, committees and related businesses with relevant resources and marketing support.
Business Growth: The Chamber supports area businesses and retailers with strategies that help them become more successful. It facilitates meetings with organizations having common goals, assisting them with collective strategies that help them grow.
County & Community Advocacy: The Chamber serves as the principal advocate for its members to government, the public, industry, and the communities within Shelby County. Through partnering with other public and non-profit organizations, the Chamber fosters the development of projects and programs that enhance the success and quality of life in Shelby County.
How the Chamber Works
Members contribute time, knowledge and experience to a consensus building system of committees, boards and task forces and then implement those ideas working in conjunction with the Chamber staff.
The Shelby County Chamber is not a civic club, charitable organization or sector of government. The Chamber is a private, non-profit corporation made up of motivated, enthusiastic business and professional people who volunteer their time and resources to make Shelby County a better place to live, work and do business!
